Story

My mother was born on the Col Sandago estate, in the home known as Case Bianche, that sits atop the most beautiful hilltop in the small town of Collalto, Commune of Susegana, Province of Treviso, Region of Veneto, Italy. To many of us today it is still known as Case Bianche. My mother, her two sisters, two brothers and parents took care of the home and land for 20 years. My mother then got married and came to Canada. Anytime, anywhere, I look down at a glass of wine or grappa I am reminded of my family and friends in Italy and all the amazing times spent and things learned. I am who I am today because of everything they taught me. Heritage, culture, morals, values and passion is very important to me. It’s why I do what I do and how I live my life everyday.

Throughout the Trevigiana Mark the land is flourishing. The vines are rich with precious substances absorbed by the soil, when, in pre-historic times, the great Dolomite glacier moved down into the valley, shaping the area and excavating the bed of the historic Piave river. The wines lie in the heart of the D.O.C.G. wine area extending from Conegliano to Valdobbiadene. The chemical-physical composition of these rich hills, which time designed in the shape of an amphitheatre, gives the grapes those characteristic aromas and flavours.

This is what makes the Trevigiana Mark one of the world’s most famous and important wine production zones.
