Our Amarone is made in the heart of Valpolicella, within the Classico (classic) area. A wine of rare elegance and complexity. Perfect for being enjoyed during unforgettable moments, particularly appreciated when aged. Born in the 1940s, maybe from a “mistaken” refermentation of a barrel of Recioto that produced a dry wine of great structure and power. Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is one of the most famous wine of this land. Aged 36 months in durmast wood barrels, then an additional 18 months in the bottle.

Corte Saibante
Amarone della Valpolicella
D.O.C.G.

Area: San Pietro in Cariano and Sant’Amrogio Valpolicella Classico – Verona
Varietal: Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara
Yield: 3 kg per plant
Vinification: At least 100 days in a “fruttaio” (dedicated drying room) where temperature, humidity and ventilation are controlled to achieve the correct level of wilting. In these months the grapes lose approximately 45% pf their original weight with a consequent increase of the sugar levels. The pressing process takes place in December / January with a crusher-destemmer machine that softly squeeze the grapes, separating the stalks from the wort. The maceration in inox steel tanks with the Ganimede system lasts for approximately 30 to 40 days with a stable controlled temperature of 16 to 18°C. Ageing is 36 months in durmast wood barrels and an additional 18 months inside the bottle. A wine of rare elegance and importance.
